とエラーが出ていた。

gnome-software-3.36.1-10.el8.x86_64の再インストールで直ったという人がいる。

I ran into this today, reinstalling fixed it for me:

sudo dnf reinstall gnome-software-3.36.1-10.el8.x86_64

Obviously change the package name to the version installed for your environment.
