Global Mommies Mingling

Luckily, we could have MrYasuhiro Hikiami sensei for our wagashi acitivity this year too !! This time, we enjoyed 2 types Autumn designs, the one is kuri-an (chestnuts paste which is made from only chestnuts and sugar, very luxury), the second one is Cosmos & Chrysanth flower designs. Besides, this time, we tried our own original ideas ! So much fun time ! Thank you so much again Hikiamisan !!

Tooooooooooooooooo hot but amazingly we enjoyed there for 3 and half hours !!!! All of those blueberries were tasty and sweet !!! There were several kinds of blueberries. Very interesting. We could get to know the differences among each kind. We could have lunch there on the open deck with big umbrellas. Sometimes wind blew, that was good for us. It was really rare and precious experience to fill our stomach with blueberries. I suppose I don’t need to see blueberries until next year.

Very precious and valuable time such an international exchanging of language workshop. We enjoyed Akane’s Japanese lesson, Monika’s German one, Christina’s English story time.

We were very lucky to have the female teacher for our moms group karate activity , who is amazingly with the third dan black belt, she is also a mom !! We totally enjoyed the karate time with her and her family !! Thank you Samanthasan, Cameronsan and Oliver kun !!! Kata was a little difficult to learn, but so exciting to do that ! We learned basic punches, kicks, blocks, and a kata.

   

Ikuyo Wakayama sensei ,who is an associate professor in the faculty of Human development ,Toyama univ.. specialized in preschool children education, and her students offerd this activity for us!
Very nice shadow play and enjoyable workshop ! After the shadow play, we enjoyed a target hitting game, drawing, origami, paper airplane.
I should’ve taken photos of the shadow plays…. Not only children but also parents enjoyed them.My students invited the children and parents to a reading activity. After reading stories, they played with them. My students had precious time. I would like to express my appreciation to all participants!

Thanks to Nishijimasan ,we could experience rice harvest . After that, we enjoyed potluck lunch with very delicious world wide cuisines and tasty rice balls and miso soup , amazake which Nishijima farm offered.
Wonderful friends, the appearance of Mirror man, Mattsan’s banjo performance, everything was perfect !

 

This time we visited YKK zipper museum , Niikawa farm .With amazing weather, we were totally in relax mode. Not only museum, but also YKK cafe we enjoyed. They offer very tasty coffee.
In the Niikawa farm, we appreciated wonderful view , and enjoyed petting and feeding animals.Before leaving the farm, 4 persons suffered from stepping goats’ biggies.💦💦💦💦💦💦Guess who?😁

     

 

This time we enjoyed Dyah san’s presentation about her country Indonesia , and Indonesian popular song!!
Thank you so much Dyahsan for the time. We could learn about your country and customs and culture.And we also enjoyed chatting with friends making pairs. So we could place faces with names.
